The Cause
artCause is a non profit providing after school and weekend arts education classes for elementary school students in Los Angeles, CA. Due to state wide budget cuts, school districts in Southern California are cutting arts education programs to shift focus towards academic subjects covered on standardized tests. These cuts are detrimental to the overall educational experience of students, as arts education in elementary school students increases motor skills, language development, cultural awareness, and academic performance.

The Solution
artCause provides arts education courses free of charge, taught at local libraries around Los Angeles. Our goal is to have 5,000 students through our programs in 2017, and double participation each year for the next five years. ArtCause wants to combat the elimination of these public school programs by providing art supplies and instruction to local libraries. By providing free arts education, we hope to encourage creative and critical thinking that will help children succeed in their academic and future professional careers.
artCause will begin programs around Los Angeles in spring 2017, with plans to expand nationwide in 2018.

About Us
artCause was founded by Los Angeles based entrepreneur Ron Rivlin, and is largely funded by donations from his Andy Warhol focused gallery, Revolver. Ron is a twenty year veteran of the music industry, and owns multiple businesses throughout Southern California. After reading an article in the LA times regarding LAUSD budget cuts to arts education, Ron decided to take the initiative and found artCause in hopes of spreading his passion of the arts to younger generations.
